This video, titled "Reversing Alzheimer's Disease," discusses how lifestyle changes, including diet, exercise, and specific nutrients, can significantly improve brain health and even reverse cognitive decline, like Alzheimer's. The speaker highlights research showing that 75-86% of people with cognitive decline improve with lifestyle interventions, emphasizing that age-related memory problems are not inevitable. She also shares a list of 12 specific nutrients and foods that can help protect and support the brain, ranging from multivitamins and probiotics to olive oil and curcumin.

Key Takeaways

Eating a carotenoid-rich diet, found in yellow and orange fruits and vegetables, is crucial for protecting both eye and brain health, as low levels are seen in dementia patients.

6

Maintaining good gut health with probiotics and fermented foods is essential because of the strong connection between the gut and the brain.

7

DHA, a special Omega-3, is vital for brain structure, focus, planning, and problem-solving, and should be supplemented to reach the recommended 800mg daily.

8

Incorporating rosemary into your daily routine, as done in regions like Acheri, Italy, provides numerous beneficial compounds for brain health.

Regular consumption of clean, organic coffee, rich in chlorogenic acid and polyphenols, can reduce neuroinflammation and act as a great anti-inflammatory.

You may be shocked that there are many studies that have taken place and are ongoing that show that people that have been diagnosed with cognitive decline (MOCA scores between 15 and 24 or even less) to improve with diet and lifestyle intervention. Amazing. Researchers like Bredesen, Toups, Ornish, Sandison, and Fitzgerald show that 75-86% of the people get better. I don’t know why this isn’t front page news everywhere!
